RANDALL WHITTINGHILL specializes in coaching actors for television, film and theatre. His passion for the craft, talent and key insights into the world of the script allow for an overall well-defined approach which ranks him among Los Angeles’ most sought after acting coaches working in the field today.
Whittinghill works with clients on a variety of levels. From individual coaching sessions to group classes, his warm, sharp and practical approach provides access and accessibility to a dedicated Hollywood coach--a key to longevity for actors who are dedicated to continually investing in their craft. He prides himself on helping his clients achieve a sense of play and fulfillment in the characters they take on, and in all the work they do.
Born in Albuquerque, NM to parents of American Indian, English and Irish decent, Randall Whittinghill is a true romantic with a cutting-edge style. Educated at the prestigious California Institute for the Arts, he holds a BFA in Acting and obtained his MFA in Directing from Sarah Lawrence College in Bronxville, New York.
Whittinghill’s boundless creativity has led to collaborations with such artists as Erik Sanko and the Kronos Quartet, performing at venues such as UCLA Live!, Brooklyn Academy of Music (BAM), the OBIE award–winning Here Arts Center, The Hopkins Center for the Arts at Dartmouth and St. Ann’s Warehouse, Brooklyn’s most desirable and pioneering spaces, among others. He has participated in theatre and dance performances at MASS MoCA, The REDCAT and Mabou Mines.
Whittinghill’s current projects include a series of acting workshops, as well as an unveiling of his most recent fine art productions. When he is not coaching, performing or making art, he can be found enjoying quality time with his wife, or hiking the breathtaking trails of Griffith Park.
